The show is set in a fictional beatnik city called Beatnik City (as in the beatnik beatnik community) that has been overrun by zombies. All the characters are in their 20s now, but we don’t really know who they are. Colt Vahn is a ragamuffin who goes by the last name of Vahn, and his wife Anna is a bit of a party girl who knows all the latest gadgets.
The trailer is so funny and fun to watch because it shows so many of the characters getting to know each other and going out on dates. Colt has a crush on Anna, and Anna has a crush on Colt. And when a zombie shows up, Colt is so thrilled he gives himself a beat up.
The only reason I can think of for the name on the trailer is that it’s a reference to the way in which the audience will recognize the franchise. I mean, it’s obvious that we’re talking about the hit TV show, but it could also be a reference to the beatup, zombie-strewn streets of a city.
To be fair, this is the second part of a trilogy. Season 2 was the first part of its storyline, and the third part is yet to come. So right now we are only one of the three parts in the story.
So if you enjoy the TV show, you will probably enjoy the rest. For the franchise, the trailer gives away all of its secrets. So if you are a fan of the TV show, you will likely enjoy the rest.
For those who like the TV show, it is worth noting that the trailer does feature an important Easter egg. An earlier trailer had featured a scene where the “dead” characters were actually “living”, but this trailer reveals that this is just a reference to the series’ title.
