This recipe comes from my friend, Kim of Kim at Home. Kim is a personal chef with a deep passion for food and cooking and her husband, Ken, is a lawyer. They live in Los Angeles and have one daughter, who’s now in her late 20’s. Kim and Ken met at the Culinary Institute of America, where Kim studied to be a chef and Ken worked as a real estate attorney. They became friends and Kim started making her own frozen meals.
Kim and I have known each other for a very long time, and our friendship started over a frozen food project. Since I am a huge fan of frozen meals, I thought it was a great idea to make my own. So I was happy to help them out with that recipe.
I’m on the fence here. What I really like about frozen meals is the fact that they don’t have as much “meat” (as in the meatiness of a steak) as regular recipes. This is definitely a recipe I’ll be making more often, and I think it’s good to have that extra protein in your diet. And the veggies in the recipe are also pretty good.
It would be great to have a recipe that has the same kind of texture as a steak, with lots of fiber. So the same kind of taste as a steak that doesn’t have the meatiness of a steak. And it doesn’t need to taste as good, it can taste good for a few hours in a fridge.
In the meantime, I’m enjoying the other recipe that Ill post soon, which is a vegan recipe: Roasted Garlic, Garlic Chips, and Garlic Sauce. I have also made a vegan version of the Meatloaf recipe, but I’m not sure if Ill post that one yet.
In the past I’ve made a pasta recipe that is just as good as the traditional one, but this one is a little different. I like it because it has fresh garlic cloves with the cheese and onions and it has the texture of a meatloaf. I have a few other recipes that I will post soon.
The other one will be a gluten-free version of the pasta recipe and I have an entire recipe for fried plantains. I had a hard time finding a recipe for fried plantains, but I will post this one soon.
I think it is because in the past, plantains and bananas were used as a way to make them more “green” so that they would be easier to digest. However, fried plantains are very different from those. They have the same texture as a regular plantain, but are basically fried in oil, and they have a more pronounced banana flavor.
Like banana, plantains are pretty tasty when they are fried in oil. But when fried, they get very greasy, and even worse, they have a very strong banana flavor. So the best way to eat them is to add them to a pan of boiling water, put in a little bit of oil, and cook them up until they are soft. Then you can use them as a substitute for the real thing. In fact, I will be posting the recipe soon.
So, it turns out that frozen plantains are the best substitute for the real thing. And that’s because the real thing is really tough. When I was in Africa, I ate plantains every day, and they were really good. But when I was back home, I couldn’t stand the texture of the real thing. Plus, I’m not much of a cook, so I couldn’t put it on my banana bread to eat.
