They fear they will lose their power, that they will be relegated to the shadows, that their power will be taken away by someone else.
In the game, the princesses have a few different powers based on their personal character. The first is the power of being the only woman in the castle, which is a nice perk considering there’s only one other female character in the game. Next is the power of being able to fly, which is good because it means you can take down the largest enemy.
