The 9th season of Family Guy is back for the first time since the beginning in 2009 and it’s a good one. The first half focuses on the family’s adventures while the second half talks to the three boys who are back to help.
In the first half, we get some of the same shenanigans as we’ve seen in the previous years. It’s a lot of laughs and a lot of new faces. The only thing that really ties the two halves together is Seth MacFarlane in a new role of Peter Griffin, the oldest of the Griffin family. As we see in the first episode, he has some serious issues that needs to be put on the back-burner.
Seth MacFarlane is a huge part of the success of this season. In the past, he has done a lot of voice acting for some of the family members, but it’s never been for the benefit of the family members. With the new episodes it’s clear that this is Seth MacFarlane doing a lot of voice acting for the Griffin family. He’s also done a lot of other voices, from Bill Moseley to the main characters.
Its interesting to see how Seth MacFarlane fits into the new family dynamic. He hasn’t always acted with the family members or done things that were a part of their lives, but now he has found a way to do these things for them, even though the family members aren’t sure how good of a role he will have in the new season.
I dont think it’s a bad thing that Seth MacFarlane is getting into this new family dynamic, it’s just that I dont think that he is doing a good job of it. Its not that he’s an idiot or a tool of the showrunners. Its just that now he has a part to play in the family dynamic and hes trying to be a good dad.
Well, that’s just a general statement. I think that the showrunners are smart enough to know that they arent going to take every scene they show and have it turn out to be a decent dad. But at the same time, they know that they are going to need the character to develop in order to keep the same audience watching for the next 12 episodes.
Thats a good point. I think the showrunners have already figured out that they can’t just make Colt a passive father and not have people care about his character as much. So having Colt be a good dad and working his ass off to keep his family together is something the showrunners have to figure out in order to keep the show going and keep the audience watching.
This season is the first in that it has introduced the character of Colt Vahn. In the first few episodes, Colt has gone out on a mission to take out Visionaries. In fact in the first few episodes Colt has only killed one Visionary, and that was because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He didn’t kill any more Visionaries.
Colt doesn’t necessarily need to kill Visionaries to get his family together, but he does need their brains. He needs them to think and talk for a few seconds at a time to keep his family together.
Colt in particular has trouble with the Visionaries because he has been isolated a long time. It was only in the past few years, however, that he has been able to learn about them and work with them. So he sees them as a threat and he is able to kill them without it feeling like he is killing them. He has been able to take on these Visionaries at their weakest points, from his family to his best friend to his best weapon.
