The last thing I thought I would hear when I picked up my first box of northern rescue food was that it was going to be back for Christmas. The fact that I actually did get it back is a testament to how well it works. The first batch was awesome, then we switched to a few more.
It’s been four months now, and northern rescue has been going strong. We’ve sent our last batch of food to the northern rescue base, where we received a note from the head of the base that said that they would get the food back in a couple of weeks. That’s a long time, especially for a meal that’s been in our hot-dog-sized package for over a month.
In the meantime, we’ve been receiving a new batch of food each day. We haven’t had a meal for a couple of weeks. I wonder if it’s because the base was still trying to send us food. We have been getting food all the time, but its been a few days since we had a meal.
In the meantime, weve been receiving food almost daily. There is not a lot to say about that, since there is no explanation for why they are getting food, other than that it is bad news. It is also a bit weird that we dont have a meal for over a month. Our food is still in the package, and we will try to make the best of what we receive.
We didn’t receive any food for a month due to a mysterious “lack of supplies.” The mystery was solved though, by a local shop which sent out an item to us that we were supposed to get.
We did receive the food, but it is a bit strange that they chose our date of delivery for the food, but not the person who sent it. The package itself contained meat, but they didn’t have any extra meat or vegetables for us to take with us. They were able to give us rice, pasta, and a variety of other food items (not including noodles, which we would have to eat anyway).
Our next delivery is actually a day after our last, so we’re not sure if it’s the same person. The next item is a book, again, our last. We did receive some of the book, but the author was not the one who sent it out. In fact, its author is a woman who is not an Arkane employee nor a local resident, but was sent by an Arkane employee in the past.
We didn’t get the book, which was from a bookstore in another country, but we did get some rice and pasta. We’re still not sure if it’s the same person, but we are in the same situation as we were during the rice delivery. We are here to provide rice and pasta to the Arkane employees who need them.
So at first we were trying to use that rice and pasta to buy the Arkane employee a very small gift to make her happy. But when our rice and pasta was not enough, we made a second request, which we got from a different Arkane employee who actually lives in the other country, and we were able to get them to send the rice and pasta home.
We have already started our journey back home. It takes 10 days to travel through the Northern Rescue. It is a time-looping game, where you must wait for your next turn to continue playing. This means that at any point during the trip you can spend a turn waiting for someone else to get through, and then you can play again.
